The brief
Restaurants change their menu more often than they change their website, and the two are almost never in sync. The site had to let the kitchen change a dish, a price or tonight's special without ever calling us — and it had to keep working when nobody had got round to uploading a photograph yet.
What the site does
- Menu, gallery and events pages driven entirely by the content editor
- Opening hours in one place, feeding the footer, the booking form's sitting times and a live open/closed indicator
- Reservation form writing straight into the Studio for the floor team to work through
- Every page renders complete before any content is added — placeholder copy and generated imagery stand in until real content replaces them
- Statically prerendered and revalidated hourly, so the site is fast and stays up even if the CMS doesn't
